With Release 4.2 you can upload your flights directly from the Flight Logbook of Vario One to XContest. No cable, no computer, no detour.
What is XContest?
XContest is one of the most well-known online platforms worldwide for paraglider and hang glider pilots. Thousands of pilots upload their flights there daily to:
- Document and analyze routes
- Compete with other pilots – regionally and worldwide
- Participate in competitions – from local cups to world rankings
- Discover flying sites based on other pilots’ flights
Upload with one click
The upload is incredibly simple:
- Open your Flight Logbook in Vario One
- Select the desired flight
- Tap “Upload to XContest”
Done. Your flight is online – including all track data, altitude profile and distance scoring.
Works with Watch and iPhone
It doesn’t matter which device you recorded the flight with:
- Apple Watch – flights recorded independently on the Watch
- iPhone – flights recorded with the iPhone
Both are stored in the same Flight Logbook and can equally be uploaded to XContest.
FAI recognition and IGC format
Vario One is officially recognized by the FAI (Fédération Aéronautique Internationale). This means:
- All flights are saved in IGC format
- Every flight contains a digital signature that guarantees authenticity
- Flights are automatically validated on competition portals
- No manual verification required
