New Release 1.14 | Vario One records GPX track from flight (Watch alone or iPhone)
GPX export for your flights
With Release 1.14 you can export your flights as GPX files – regardless of whether they were recorded with Apple Watch alone or with the iPhone.

Apple Watch as an independent flight instrument
The Apple Watch records your flights completely independently:
- Full Variometer instrument on the display
- Acoustic tones directly on your wrist
- Automatic GPX recording in the background
You don’t need your iPhone with you. After landing, the GPX track appears automatically in your digital Flight Logbook.
GPX – the universal standard format
GPX is an open standard format supported by countless tools and platforms. With your exported flights you can:
- Google Earth – visualize flights in three dimensions and fly through the terrain
- Friends and family – share your flight routes and show where you were
- Flight planning tools – import and analyze tracks
- Computer archive – back up your flights for the long term
GPX is the standard that every program understands. Your flight data belongs to you – in a format that works everywhere.
Same functionality on iPhone
Of course, GPX recording works identically on the iPhone as well. Both devices save your flights to the same Flight Logbook – regardless of which device you have with you when flying.
Preview: map view coming soon
In the next version, a map view directly in the app will be available, so you can view your flights without external tools. But even now, you can visualize your flights anywhere with the GPX export.
